It would be nice to have a way to import or reimport files from component diagram artifacts which would reduce the need for selecting files through a file dialog. 

There are two use cases: 
A. 
1. Create a new project 
2. Add a component diagram
3. Add artifacts
4. Set artifact file name attribute 
5. Right click on the artifact and select "Import"
6. The file will be (re)imported

B
1. Import files - this creates a component diagram and artifacts including the related file names 
2. Right click on an artifact and select "Import"
3. The file will be (re)imported
