Dumitru Cristian 2004-08-07 14:28:06 UTC: There should be a tool that exports all the settings and data files for a particular KDE application. This way it should be very easy to move the settings of one of the applications you use at home to, let's say, your work place. (I know you can do it by hand, but that would be quite annoying sometimes) stu@santa-li.com 2004-09-11 09:58:50 UTC I second this recommendation. I have run into problems that could only be resolved by deleting ~/.kde, and have found it quite tiresome having to spend an hour re-configuring all the apps again. *** Bug 86751 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 311602 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Francesco Noacco 2012-12-12 23:59:25 UTC I want maximum flexibility in the management and distribution of settings. In particular, a management similar to that which occurs with multi-level in graphics. Starting from the default values, you can load multiple profiles (whether they complete or partial) and be able to raise and lower level in order to obtain the desired result (for test and any). With the complete configuration mean everything: from the themes to the clock settings, with the possibility of including native kde applications (those more compatible in the future). - With the exception of obvious system settings, such as users, etc. - And just as obvious separation for personal data (contacts, etc.). *** Bug 86543 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 240862 *** |
