already reported as bug 330111 I have done some more checking. It looks like I am getting thumbnails for most of my video files (it seems to have taken some time for them to show up), but not for the AVI (mjpeg inside) files from an old camera that I had. These AVI files play perfectly, but ffmpeg says that they contain invalid data and doesn't do anything with them. The problem seems to be with ffmpeg (or a missing codec) and not with digikam. Jim Shipman Yes, there is no video preview extractor in digiKam. All is delegate to KDE video thumbnailer. Best Gilles Caulier digiKam 5.4.0 will have a video thumbnailer based on QtAV framework. We do not use KDE video thumbnailer anymore... Gilles Caulier |
