Fedora 20 Gnome - digikam compiled from source 4.0.0-beta2 tarball with debugfull.
ffmpegthumbnailer works perfectly in a terminal for all my video formats.  Photos thumbnail correctly.  Nautilus correctly thumbnails all video files.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start digikam
2. Look for video thumbnails (or run maint->thumbnailer)
3. 
Actual Results:  
No Thumbnails for video files

Expected Results:  
I expect to see thumbnails for my video files

I have done some more checking.  It looks like I am getting thumbnails for most of my video files (it seems to have taken some time for them to show up), but not for the AVI (mjpeg inside) files from an old camera that I had.  These AVI files play perfectly, but ffmpeg says that they contain invalid data and doesn't do anything with them.  The problem seems to be with ffmpeg (or a missing codec) and not with digikam.

Yes, there is no video preview extractor in digiKam. All is delegate to KDE video thumbnailer.

digiKam 5.4.0 will have a video thumbnailer based on QtAV framework. We do not use KDE video thumbnailer anymore...
