For short: something like that: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/latex-it/?src=search

In this thunderbird plugin the formulas can be inserted via $ math... $ (or with double $). The mail is sent in a text version (raw tex code is seen) and a html version with png pictures included instead. A button let it compile. Modifications in the preambel can be made.
It seems to me that something like that is reletively simple to implement. Is that true? Can I do it on my own without experience and therefor contribute to kmail/kde? (Actually I use c++ and Qt for my own small applications.)
Bring the math to kmail ;-) Very usefull for students of mathematic/physics/... .

Reproducible: Always

Since this is an add-on for thunderbird, not a functionality provided by default, this wish is about add-on support for KMail2?

Partly, yes. But mostly it's just a wish to add the functionality which might be (from my point of view) very usefull. I understand that lots of people have different meanings about it and see it as a functionality not needed by a email client (by default). I think such circumstance (I like it, but most others don't/don't want it as a core component) in general results in a add-on system.
So for me as a normal user I don't care whether it's a add-on or a core component and just a whish to have it.

I would appreciate that very much, too! Whether as addon or core feature does not matter :-)
