I have a similar drive and though it's annoying usually when a file from that drive is accessed the drive wakes up here. I'm not sure what you expect K3B to do in this case. I see only two options. 1. You keep refreshing some view of the files on the usb hdd to keep it from sleeping. 2. K3b copies all data to a temp folder before burning to disc. If you expect K3b to do 1 for you that seems unrealistic. it shouldn't be made to keep your drive awake for you since not all drives behave that way. As for 2 it's a possibility, but I'll let the maintainers decide if that's a workable solution or not. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Thx. The drive went in stand by all the time until it broke. This happend only in Linux. I just couldn't be sure what actually caused it to stand by during burn. Not happend ever again later with other USB Drives. (Gentoo) Thanks for the update! |
