Description Stephen Sekula 2014-01-12 23:43:10 UTC
Currently, if a user enters a message in the text box at the top of a pump.io tab, that message is Public by default. This is not at all clear the first time a user does this. My suggestions are:

1) Make it clear in the UI that the user must click on the "Send Private Message..." button to direct a message to their Followers or another party.

2) Rather than separating the public and private message UIs (e.g. adding the extra step of choosing to send a private message when a person wishes to address only their followers), combine them into a UI available directly on the main pump.io tab. This might allow the user to enter their message and then choose to whom the message is directed using To: and CC: buttons.

Reproducible: Always

I'm not a good designer, then I don't get how to merge those buttons in the main Choqok UI.
An UI draft would be nice.

Thank you for the bug report.

As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists.

If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.

Choqok is unfortunately no longer maintained.

If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here:

https://invent.kde.org/network/choqok

You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived.

Sorry for the inconveniences.
