opensuse 13.1 , kde 4.12 
- first case

i have numerous notifications for example about 300 errors from kmail
then
we see 300 notifications one by one
but
counter stays blocked at 27
knotifier list contains only 27 notifications

- second case i launch qarte to download movies from a tv station
i ask for qarte to download 4 movies
then
we see coming 4 notifications but only 2 notifications are listed

-third case
 i launch an app . this one sends notifications
i quit this app
i launch another app . this other one sends notifications

the notifications of the first one disappeared !

today i observed this :

after a delay notifications in knotifer list disappear without any action of user or app launched by user

it seems each notification has an individual delay before disappearing
