i swicthed from mandriva to opensuse

i switched from digikam 2.9.0 to 3.5

i first launch digikam
then
it scans my album then i creates a new db
then
i use db migration tool

after 92 % (global) there is an error windows saying there are duplicate ids and pids
then
migration stops

additional info :
before migration today :
- i make tests to see if my numerous bug reports are stil valid
- i accessed to my smartphone
- i import 2 photos and one movie in an already existing one then i deleted them

Reproducible: Always

If files are scanned to recreate DB from scratch, you don't needs any migration stage... If all digiKam metadata are previously stored in files or XMP sidecar for example...

ok but can you confirm the tag about a file is already in picasaweb is also in the picture files ?

when you change a photo then sending to picasaweb
this tag avoid to duplicate the photo and just replace it in picasaweb
Comment 5 Philippe ROUBACH 2014-01-11 16:28:08 UTC
i made an experiment.

the tags indicating that a photo is already in picasaweb is in the photo file .

it remains the fact that migration tool is buggy
