Oh. I just noticed that it is only *that* slow in case the image wasn't saved yet. If I save the image to disk, then opening the "Send To" menu is reasonably fast. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 312495 *** Uh? That didn't show up in the list of duplicates. For sure! Sorry. |
When pressing the "Send To" button it literally takes 3 seconds on my machine (Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.8 GHz, so reasonably fast) until the menu is shown. I guess the menu contents are dynamically created when clicking the button. Can this be cached improved? Also, I think the menu is too cluttered -- It shows about 20+ entries for me, but most oftenly I only want to send the image to kolourpaint or any other graphics editor (subjective, of course). Can we put the upload actions ("Export to Facebook/Flickr/...") to a dedicated sub-menu? Reproducible: Always
