OS/Compiler notes: package notes talk about utempter i have installed this konsole did link with it but it's still not showing anything in the normal current login dumps

konsole package talks about installing utempter prior to kdelibs (or was it kdebase I forgot). I did this. The configure script recognized it and konsole linked with the library.

But when I start a konsole nothing show up in output like "w" or "uptime"

Konsole now creates non-writeable utmp entries if utempter is installed.
