I guess the problem goes away if you disable the Last.fm plug-in in Amarok, restart it and then connect your iPod? It seems to be related to scrobbling plays of iPod tracks. You, sir, are my hero. I have no idea how you figured that out (to be honest, I didn't even try to read the BT; just looking at it gave me a headache. I've seen only now all the lastfm related info); I'm putting it back in UNCONFIRMED because at this stage I don't know if it should be considered as resolved: if i re-enable the lastfm plugin (and i'd like for it to be on) the issue is there again (which only proves, actually, that it's not related to the stale/orphaned tracks, because I'm not getting that message anymore) In any case, thanks a lot. I really hope there's a way to fix the issue! (for now, I'm really happy with the workaround :P) It is still a bug, albeit a less severe one. I'll look into it when I have time. I have an even milder work-around for you: Re-enable Last.fm plug-in, and in Metadata tab, uncheck your iPod so that its tracks are no longer automatically scrobbled when it is connected. Please report this bug to upstream, liblastfm: https://github.com/lastfm/liblastfm/issues - linking this bug and me as a reference. I think they have a regression in 1.0.8. Would you be able to downgrade to liblastfm 1.0.7 to see if it is really the case? Aaaand you are once again correct!
Found a .deb with 1.0.7-2 and installed it, Amarok works fine!
