Description Arne Babenhauserheide 2013-11-09 11:03:28 UTC
When decrypting a message in KMail, I am asked twice to enter the password, but I do not see why (and it makes me wary - does it decrypt for two different services, only one under my control?).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click on encrypted message
2.
3.
Actual Results:
message shows as encrypted.
I am asked twice to enter my gnupg password.

Expected Results:
message shows as encrypted.
I am asked once to enter my gnupg password or I get information why I am asked twice.

Steps to Reproduce (additional info):
1. click on encrypted message *in the list of messages*
2.
3.

This behaviour is only visible if gpg-agent is not used/ not storing the password.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
