checking version number in app is not possible in 4.11.2.
Application > Help > About 'app' Show Only link and author info, No Version Number.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. konqueror, gwenview, kate (any Base application) including 'About KDE' it's self
2. goto Help > About 'app'
3.
Actual Results:  
the 'About' box shows a link to apps home page and a tab for Authors, but No version information

Expected Results:  
there should be a version number for the Base Application.

the only other ways to check version number is console > cat...  , console zypper or start yast.
very annoying and takes Far Too Much time.

That is quite unlikely to happen. Did you fail to notice the version number in the dialog ?
