Switch to oxygen decoration. You distro introduced a (hard) binary incompatibility, see dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 301646 *** Thanks Thomas. I had to purge kwin-style-qtcurve and kde-style-qtcurve before systemsettings would let me into "Window Decorations" because qtcurve was evidently still referenced there until I removed all of it.. First I purged kwin-style-qtcurve and restarted X. The initial kwin crash went away and the desktop was back to normal. But, when I went to systemsettings/Window Decorations, systemsettings would always crash. Then I purged kde-style-qtcurve and I can once again use systemsettings without a crash. It's a pity, I really like qtcurve, but it has caused me trouble before too. |
