Description agojc 2013-10-23 10:26:49 UTC
- Installed version of Kontact : K3-Kontact-Beta-2013-07-05.exe on Windows 7 system host.
(Previously installed version 2013-06-19 with same issue).
- KDE help center is version "khelpcenter 4.10.4" for OS "WindowsNT (i686) release Windows 7".

"Glossary" works ok but "Contents" display this type of error :

"The requested help file could not be parsed:<br/>C:/Program Files (x86)/Kontact E5/share/doc/HTML/en//kontact/index.docbook",

which obviously can't find no file (wrong URL with a doubled slash after the language directory)!

Thank you.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Kontact
2. Start help
Actual Results:
Help "Contents" display this type of error :

"The requested help file could not be parsed:<br/>C:/Program Files (x86)/Kontact E5/share/doc/HTML/en//kontact/index.docbook",

Expected Results:
Display the actual page located at "C:/Program Files (x86)/Kontact E5/share/doc/HTML/en/kontact/index.docbook".
With ONE slash only after "en" directory.

No.

Running KDE in a virtual Windows XP:
Kontact
Version 4.10.2
KDE 4.10.2

Using F1 or Help->Kontact Handbook opens KHelpcenter with the Kontact Documentation

Your version of Kontact K3-Kontact-Beta-2013-07-05.exe seems to be from http://mirror.kolabsys.com/pub/upload/windows/

Yes, it is.
Do you mean i should ask kolabsys ?
Comment 3 Burkhard Lück 2013-10-23 18:51:14 UTC
Yes because you got your version of Kontact from kolabsys and not from windows.kde.org.

Btw. the duplicated slash in your error messages does not matter, it is not the reason that you can not open the handbook

I'd recommend to close this bug as RESOLVED / INVALID
