It would be really nice to be able to SMS a contact from the KTP interface.  This could be routed through my phone/bluetooth if near or through a web basaed sms service.

We actually do have this feature of sending SMSs via ModemManager, however the set of phones working with MM is very very limited (mostly because manufacturers don't implement things properly).

There might be light with KDE Connect project however, we'll see where that leads.
