If you reopen an other or even the same email it will again display with the default layouts/tehme (dekorativ in the German version)

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Does not rembember changes

Expected Results:
Should remember changes
Comment 1 Laurent Montel 2013-09-15 12:30:00 UTC
normal you select it for specific mail.
It will not change global settings.
Comment 2 maxime.haselbauer 2013-09-15 13:51:52 UTC
Then how am I suppose define it as global settings ?
I don't see anywhere else where I can select it
Comment 3 Laurent Montel 2013-09-15 16:39:56 UTC
Display->header->style.
Comment 4 maxime.haselbauer 2013-09-15 16:49:17 UTC
There is no
Display->header
In the main window of Kmail
There is one in the email window which is the one I use (see first comment) but that does NOT remember the settings

Cheers

Comment 5 Laurent Montel 2013-09-16 05:17:10 UTC
Ok if you search a little...
view->headers->...
Comment 6 maxime.haselbauer 2013-09-16 07:07:32 UTC
In my version (German)
Ansicht
   /Nachrichtenliste
   /Gruppe einklappen
   /Gruppe aufklappen
   /Alle Gruppe einklappen
   /Alle Gruppe aufklappen
   /Skalierung

and then ? there is no Vorspann (header)
It only appear if I select an email and open it
Comment 7 Laurent Montel 2013-09-16 07:51:48 UTC
Oki perhaps.
Too bad for you if you didn't have default entry in kmail...
Don't know.
Comment 8 maxime.haselbauer 2013-09-17 06:59:19 UTC
Allright
Is there a way to work it around? (aka editing a configuration file)
Do you know if this is a bug in the source code, or is it downstream (aka down to the ubuntu packagers)

Cheers
Comment 9 maxime.haselbauer 2013-10-19 10:40:10 UTC
Okay so ....? is it a source code bug or upstream bug? in which case I will report the bug to packagers... ?
Comment 10 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 18:03:11 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 11 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 21:49:02 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
