Maybe it is relevant that I had this problem before I upgradet my Debian installation: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306805 This appears to be the problem: Can't create test file /home/christian/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/christian.lower-test can you make sure the directory is writable and there's enough space on your disk? Thanks for your response, Daniel. I have already searched for a solution for that issue, but read somewhere, that one could ignore that message... But I am not sure, why it is not able to create that file. I am executing the script with the user which owns the directories... or is it the "mysql" user who must have write perms to that directory? space is no problem. I'll look at this when I am back from holidays ;) Hi, can you still reproduce this issue? I previously missed these MySQL errors from the log: 130911 11:50:09 [ERROR] MYSQL_BIN_LOG::open_purge_index_file failed to open register file. 130911 11:50:09 [ERROR] MYSQL_BIN_LOG::open_index_file failed to sync the index file. 130911 11:50:09 [ERROR] Aborting According to Google, this indeed is ownership/access issue. Hi Daniel. Actually I am not able to test it, because since some time my xserver does not work because of missing fglrx driver... I'll come back to this issue, when KDE runs again. I got Akonadi and Kmail running again. I have changed Akonadi to use the sqlite backend and then I started the Kmail2 migration like it is described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/OneiricOcelot/Final/Kubuntu/Kmail2 Now it is working again :-) |
