This bug is reported on libsolid which is the kdelibs4 version of the solid library. It is now in maintenance mode. If you think it should still be fixed in the KDE Frameworks 5 version of solid please move it to or report a bug on frameworks-solid or Powerdevil. Hello! The error message is: "Power Management configuration module could not be loaded. The Power Management Service appears not to be running. This can be solved by starting or scheduling it inside Startup and Shutdown" which is in this case misleading, because the problem is related to power management already associated with another user. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. From KDM log in as <user1>. 2. Switch to a virtual terminal, log in as <user2>. 3. Run "startx". 4. Start "System Settings". 5. Click the "Power Management" icon. Actual Results: All settings ("Dim Brightness", "Dim Display", etc) are grayed out and inaccessible. The time out related settings are all showing 10 minutes WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE. Do you understand how annoyingly useless it is to try to watch a video when the screen goes blank every tenth minute? Expected Results: <user2> should have exactly the same ability to change power related settings as already logged in user <user1>. Fedora 19, kde-settings-19-23.1.fc19.noarch.
