For the moment you can use Ctrl-f '1' for F1 and so on in Yast1. Stephan Binner wrote:

For the moment I use xterm when I need function keys... but for every day's
business I use konsole because I like that transparent background feature.

BTW is it possible to have the real background here I mean to see windows
which are hidden by konsole?

Not at the moment. It might be possible using X's RENDER extension.
