strings of operations do not work on the default KDE calculator desktop plasmoid, only single operations.  For example, 2+2=4 while 4+5+6/3=2.  This pretty much make the calc useless except for the simplest of operations.

no, this is the claculator widget he's referring to - the one with the keyboard layout;
doing 3+3+3=  gives you 3.
(I got this on Ubuntu and OpenSuse with KDE 4.11)
