Description Dan Ciarniello 2013-08-26 15:34:35 UTC
I prefer to have the audio playback connector set to headphones but whenever I reboot, the setting reverts back to speakers.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Got to Systems and Settings | Multimedia
2. Click on Phonon
3. Select Audio Hardware Setup tab
4. Select Playback in Sound Device dropdown
5. Select Headphones in Connector dropdown
6. Click Apply
7. Reboot and logon
Actual Results:
Startup sound comes from speakers
Checking the audio settings shows that the connector setting has reverted to speakers

Expected Results:
Desired setting of Headphones should be retained across reboots

It does not always require a reboot for the setting to be reverted. Logging out and logging back in after some interval (such as overnight) will also revert the setting. Logging out and immediately logging back in does not. A reboot always does.

This happens whether or not the headphones are plugged in.

The version of KDE that I'm using is 4.10.5 (I'd specify this in the version box, above, but it's not listed).

Ah, nevermind, not the same bug.

What you describe could be a problem in PulseAudio, please report the bug there.
