I'm using a lenovo laptop with intel graphics (intel hd 4000) and using fn keys i'm able to control backlight (it works also in a tty). However OSD are not shown in kde (but backlight control works as expected).
In /sys/class/backlight/ I have "acpi_video0" "intel_backlight". By default with fn keys I'm using the intel_backlight but the battery widget in plasma uses "acpi_video0". I'm sure about that since the "steps" in "acpi_video0" and "intel_backlight" are different.
Using the battery widget show the OSD but the slider does not reflect the actual brightness.
It's strange that changing brightness with fn keys playing a steam's game in full screen show the OSD.
Backlight OSD works as expected in gnome.

Reproducible: Always
