Sentry Crash Report:

Description Cruz Enrique 2013-08-21 23:03:15 UTC
In the Open Promotional Program of akademy 2013 we have a educational software session with teacher. One of the suggestions was that results of a session should be sent to the teacher in some way (email or something similar) in order to be useful in classrooms.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make an practice
2. Results are shown but not reported to the teacher
3. The teacher cannot track the progress of their students
Actual Results:
The teacher can follow the progress of their students.

Expected Results:
The teacher can grade and made custom practices based in the results.

Hi and thanks for the bug report (even if it's almost a year old now).

I would like to know a little more about this. We have improved the training part of Parley during the last year so much that I think it's time to start thinking about other parts too. And teacher - student interaction is one of those parts. Would a simple "send answers as email" be enough for you to begin with? Or do you need something more advanced?

As I understand from the people (teachers) in the session, if they cannot retrieve the answers (or the grades) the software is basically "useless" for them. They can use it in class but they will not be able to recognize what lessons have not been understood or should be improved or whatever. The teachers are basically "blinded".

In my opinion, nowadays the main point that prevent the use of kde-edu in more classrom is the lack of tools for teachers: the suit have GREAT software for self-educated people but it is impossible for a teacher to know in what stage are their students. Ideally, the software should connect to moodle (or similar infraestructure, perhaps ownclod?) but a simple email is enough for them.
