- What I was doing when the application crashed:

There are problems with kmail getting stuck synchronising folders in a mixedmaildir resource.
I quit that kmail, but the process never exits.
I start another kmail from the desktop, which crashed before opening any window.

The backtraces of previous reports did not look similar to this one to me.
