Description Volker Kuhlmann 2013-08-14 21:34:26 UTC
When selecting a folder in an IMAP mailbox, some email is always displayed. When I am checking the spam folder this is very much unwanted behaviour! I don't want to download this rubbish, I just need to read the subjects and mark stuff as read. And after moving an email, I don't want the next one shown either - only the message list.
kmail is configured to "jump to unread email" when entering folder, but as long as it always displays the email (necessitating a download) it doesn't matter which one it jumps to.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to an IMAP mailbox.
2. Select its spam folder.
3.
Actual Results:
The last selected, first unread, or whatever other email is downlaoded and shown.

Expected Results:
Display of message list, option to move and mark emails as read WITHOUT displaying their bodies.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
