OOM crash in the driver when loading a shadow texture. Please try whether altering the Gtk2/3 style (is it atm. oxygen?) changes anything about this and report back, thanks. Ps: http://kid3.sourceforge.net/ /advert ;-) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 307580 *** Hello, I was using "Oxigen" and have changed to "Plastik" and it still occurs. The application crashes allways KWin. Should I get bach to Mint Version 13? Thanks! This is *not* about the window decoration ("kcmshell4 kwindecoration") or KDE/Qt style ("kcmshell4 style"), but about the gtk+ style (you've either some system settings module for it or will have to edit ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini, resp. some/any ~/.gtkrc* file by hand - sorry) The bug, ultimately crashing kwin, is in the driver, but the gtk+ style may trigger it. This is what I read in /.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini Should I change anything? [Settings] gtk-font-name=DejaVu Sans 9 gtk-theme-name=oxygen-gtk gtk-icon-theme-name=oxymentary gtk-fallback-icon-theme=gnome gtk-toolbar-style=GTK_TOOLBAR_BOTH_HORIZ gtk-menu-images=0 gtk-button-images=0 But for me it's still a doubt, how could it work well with Version13 and not now with 14ten. I may go back to 13. (I am not a SW programmer and I guess I cannot help very much with reports, although I always find some errors or improvements in the system...) Thanks. - gtk-theme-name=oxygen-gtk + gtk-theme-name=none None is (usually) an invalid entry and you'll get the unthemed look (Win95 style) |
