Description Mathieu Jobin 2013-07-05 21:29:12 UTC
I like both notification, the system tray and popup and I have both enabled.
but after installing new updates, even though I leave some unchecked, I do not want the "update available" flag to stay on. I have installed all I wanted and I'd like to be notified when there are NEW ones. right now, I don't know if there are new ones (read UX broken), because I have some available remaining.

cheers,

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. have update
2. acknowledge updates, install some, leave some
3. systray icon remains on.

Expected Results:
systray icon should disappear and reappear only when new updates are available.

workaround is to check myself periodically, a little annoying

This is rather a wish rather than a bug.

Is there maybe a way to tell APT that a package is on hold for updates? If so we should be using that.

MUON is dead, right?
