kontact kmail2 screenshot
I checked again today and after two or three minutes the problem disappeared automagically, from 20850 ghost emails to 11 real ones. Then, ghost emails started to repopulate my inbox folder again. I think I have the solution : The mail filter agent (?) When I reconfigured my laptop/kontact to use (D)IMAP instead of POP + local folders, I forgot to reconfigure the filter rules and the actions "Move to folder" get empty folder names (the corresponding local folders were deleted). May be that triggered infinite loop (?) since the filtered mail never be removed from the inbox. I shall eventually end up clearing all filters since archiving theses e-mails in another folder on the same IMAP is apparently another bad idea (never ending mail filter agent, blocked at 0% progress). Best regards zypper info kontact Repository: openSUSE Current:Update Name: kontact Version: 4.10.5-1.100.2 Arch: x86_64 Vendor: openSUSE Installed: Yes Status: up-to-date This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months. Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input. |
