When I add a budget, my purpose is to follow it and be warned if my expenses exceed that budget. It would be helpful to see in the ledger, each time I add an operation in a category for which I defined a monthly budget, the remaining amount I can still spend in this category according to the budget. This is a very important feature for my daily usage.

This would be really useful feature for me too. Tracking budget excess is really important, so it'd be nice to have such feature.

The originally reported version of KMM is certainly unmaintained, but if this issue has not been addressed, then it is still a valid wishlist for the current version.  Is there really any reason not to reopen?
