Description Ettore Atalan 2013-06-15 12:19:25 UTC
There is a stupid behaviour of KDE.

The default battery mode setting of changing into standby mode when the notebook lid gets closed is mostly useful and energy-saving, but NOT while the notebook is shutting down. On the next startup KDE will continue the shutdown process rather than booting up.

Ettore Atalan

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure the change into standby mode when the notebook lid gets closed is activated
2. Do a shutdown
3. Close the notebook lid quickly
Actual Results:
KDE breaks shutdown and changes into standby mode. Then on the next startup it will continue the shutdown process, which is kind of stupid.

Expected Results:
A normal shutdown.
