Description Rolf Eike Beer 2013-06-13 21:03:39 UTC
I subscribed to a set of folders on my IMAP server (courier, configured as dIMAP). They show up in KMail as having mails. Now I click on any of them, change the contents to contants. I get a warning window ("the folder will disappear once you click ok"), which I dismiss (side note: the "do not show again" box would be nice here). Nothing happens. Going to the folder properties shows "Emails" again. Restarting everything doesn't make any difference.

Reproducible: Always

Ok, I have this again on another host and can narrow this down. If I change the folder properties to "contacts" in folder properties dialog the "collectionannotations" in akonadiconsole shows up as "contact % false". If I change that manually to "/vendor/kolab/folder-type contact.default" the folder properly becomes a contact folder.

This seems to work for other types (notes, calendar), but it does not work for contacts.

In case anyone needs a test account on the courier imap server to debug this just drop me a note.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
