Sentry Crash Report:

Description Dirk Heinrichs 2013-06-07 16:54:32 UTC
I have user $HOME on an AFS volume. Even after the shortest network outage (when switching from wireless to wired, for example), kmail stays unusable when connectivity is restored. It doesn't load another mail when I click on it, it doesn't switch folders, nothing. The only way out is to quit kontact, kill all akonadi processes and restart.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run kmail with users $HOME in AFS
2. Disconnect and reconnect network
3. Try to still use kmail
Actual Results:
See above.

Expected Results:
kmail should start working again as soon as conectivity is restored.

Wow, more than 2 years w/o anybody even replying. No wonder Linux doesn't make it to the desktop.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
