Description Arash Khoshghadamnia 2013-06-05 08:46:31 UTC
Zooming in is corrupted because it shows lots of the same window stacked on top of each other. other options like Focus has no sense of direction. moving to the left of the screen brings another floating window blocking the view. mouse navigation produces stacked windows which makes magnified navigation practically impossible. 5:1 zoom level is corrupted by flickering zigzaged raster image. 2:1 shows even a smaller window of the one it is supposed to be magnifying. 1:1 is fine, but what's the use? 1:1.5 is corrupted by stacked windows all moving at the same time. 1:4 magnifies part of the screen ( for instance, the toolbar of a browser, but fails to magnify the rest ( always shows a blank white screen ), so are 1:5, 1:6, 1:7 and other magnifying ratios on the way up. all the other "magnifying !" ratios smaller than 1:1 are absolutely flickering mish-mash of flickering buttons and tool bars, reminding me of the 1980s Atari games. The screen mode is absolutely useless. smaller than 1:1 are stacked windows with those flickers, larger than 1:1 being blank and useless. I have no idea what the pull-down menu to left of "mouse" button does, because it does nothing at all, be it in very low, low, medium, high, very high. There is no response. nothing. The application is totally useless the way it works. The application also consumes lots of bandwidth, spikes CPU usage to 50% on my Intel Core 2 Duo E7400. It seems like a sort of thrashing case to me with a bug in the loop, and lots of I/O tasks with no functionality.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.start
2.mouse mode: stacked windows on top of each other
3.focus mode: stacked windows
4. windows mode: it stacks up windows, fails to track mouse click, finally freezes up dead in place
5. screen mode: stacked windows, no cursor tracking, freezes up.
Actual Results:
I decided to report the bug since it doesn't work at all. zero functionality

Expected Results:
It should have magnified part of the screen and kept functional through all the magnifying ratios.

Nothing crashed. My computer hardware config:
- Intel Core 2 Due E7400 2.8 GHZ
- XFX nVidia 9600 GT 1 GB DDR3 256bit
- Kubuntu 12.0.4 LTS on a WD 1TB Caviar Green
-KDE 4.10.3 with Oxygen theme.
- Linux 3.2.0.44 - generic
