It is quite handy to have some of the backlog in text-ui, but it is limited.

Even though that limitation is configurable, would be quite handy to be able to load more. Perhaps we can implement something like what is used in Twitter or Facebook (one of them loads more as you scroll, the other offers you a link you can click and more content is loaded).

With the Adium Theme HTML engine this is not practical.
