apparenty it is not as consistent with all cpp projects as i thought. will test more tomorrow. the given seg_fault is actually from clicking on 'fetch project' on the welcome screen. will try to reproduce the 'open project' seg_fault and determine which projects cause it tomorrow... Did you get any results? I don't see how it could be crashing, since we're already checking that it's not null... Maybe a valgrind run?
