Please make sure you use the latest phonon-backend-vlc 0.6.3 version. Also there seem to be a problem in Alsa, please check your installation and make sure you have all packages installed correctly. Indeed, phonon-backend-vlc is 0.6.2, I believe it is the version from the ubuntu repos, do you want me to try building and installing v 0.6.3 from the sources? Regarding alsa, I don't remember having any issue with it, what do you suggest I should do to check if everything is installed correctly? Sorry if I am a bit slow with this, I am still not familiar with the arcanes of audio handling. NVM, that was a typo from me, the latest vlc backend version is 0.6.2. It is this part of the backtrace that shows there is a problem with Alsa: #11 0x00007f5485125c1d in EnumDevices (obj=obj@entry=0x7f53f8000958, varname=varname@entry=0x0, idp=idp@entry=0x7f541ba7e8e0, namep=namep@entry=0x7f541ba7e8e8) at alsa.c:709 Which should be already fixed upstream, making this a duplicate of bug 268185 This comment has a workaround: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=268185#c41 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 268185 *** |
