Thanks for the bug report. I could not reproduce the crash so far. If you can reproduce this crash sometimes, you could do the following to help us find the cause of the bug: 1. Run Dolphin in Valgrind: valgrind dolphin 2> log.txt (Note that Dolphin will be slowed down considerably.) 2. Reproduce the crash. 3. Attach the file 'log.txt' here. Thanks for your help. Please reopen if you can still reproduce this in KDE 4.10.4 or later. Thanks. From bug 324856: - What I was doing when the application crashed: Program crashed when I tried to create a new file. The file seemed to be where I was making it once it was re-loaded. *** Bug 324856 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** It got reported again, so I suppose that the bug is still there. A Valgrind log of the crash (see comment 2) is still considered extremely useful. I did look at the code, but I could not figure out how the crash can happen. Thanks for your help! *** Bug 336712 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I have experienced this crash as well. The difference for my setup is I am copying from a Samba KIO pane to local. (In reply to Andrew M from comment #7) > I have experienced this crash as well. The difference for my setup is I am > copying from a Samba KIO pane to local. Could you please provide a valgrind log of this crash? It would be really helpful. See #5 Is this bug still viable? Many things have changed in the past three years and the cause for the crash has probably disappeared. Could someone who is affected respond to this (if this is still a problem) & provide a valgrind log? I haven't experienced this bug for years so you have my vote on closing it. Will close for now, can be reopened if someone experiences this crash again (very unlikely). |
