i cannot type in the root's password on konsole. i am using opensuse 12.3.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.try to install something through konsole
2.try to enter password
3.
Actual Results:  
the password will not be entered.

Expected Results:  
let me type in my password

This has to be your distro's issue - put in a bug report with them or search their forums/irc etc.
