Description CSights 2013-05-05 03:27:38 UTC
When I put kmail into Offline mode and try to remove duplicate emails two error message boxes pop up "Unable to fetch item from backend (collection 191) : Unable to retrieve item from resource: Cannot fetch item in offline mode." And duplicate emails are not deleted.

I would expect kmail to remove those messages for which it already has message bodies. I do not have

Further, when I run this command in Online Mode, the network becomes very busy as though it is downloading messages from the network. All messages in the folder appear to be downloaded already, b/c I can see them in the message preview pane. So, I guess kmail is unnecessarily looking things up on the network.

Reproducible: Always

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
