Description Shantanu Tushar 2013-04-25 19:08:22 UTC
If I press space typing into playlist filter textbox (so as to type a space in the media name), mediacenter incorrectly uses that space to pause the currently playing song.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Play a music/video
2. Open playlist
3. Type "A B" (with space between A and B)

Actual Results:
music/video pauses

Expected Results:
music/video shouldn't pause when playlist is open

I got the expected results on trying. Pressing the space bar seems to be working properly on my system and it only pauses the music/video when its media information is being displayed on the front end. In all other situations, pressing the space does not produce any weird results. For eg: I successfully searched for a song with name "a bc.mp3" in my playlist.

Please watch the video attached. I maximized the window of plasma media center and then performed the steps mentioned on https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318870#c1 to find out the bug. In this video, you will find out that I successfully searched for the song "burn it down" in the playlist text box when a song was already being played.
I think the problem might be arising in case of some other operating system or there might be an issue with PMC version as I can see the screenshot you attached on bugs.kde.org has a bit different gui controls than that of the version of pmc installed on my system. Can you please tell me on which OS you tried?
