I got the expected results on trying. Pressing the space bar seems to be working properly on my system and it only pauses the music/video when its media information is being displayed on the front end. In all other situations, pressing the space does not produce any weird results. For eg: I successfully searched for a song with name "a bc.mp3" in my playlist. Created attachment 79479 [details]

try searching while the media player is maximized (as in its not in the top right corner) as shown in the attached screenshot
Created attachment 79484 [details] Screen video recording of PMC Please watch the video attached. I maximized the window of plasma media center and then performed the steps mentioned on https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318870#c1 to find out the bug. In this video, you will find out that I successfully searched for the song "burn it down" in the playlist text box when a song was already being played. I think the problem might be arising in case of some other operating system or there might be an issue with PMC version as I can see the screenshot you attached on bugs.kde.org has a bit different gui controls than that of the version of pmc installed on my system. Can you please tell me on which OS you tried? Weird, I am also able to reproduce this bug. yes, i reproduced this bug, its happening as reported .. This has been fixed as part of commit 5fd2c0c7a94650478e6b3f4afcde64cbf03067d1 . The commit message is wrong, please ignore. |
