Description Thomas Pfeiffer 2013-04-17 20:07:13 UTC
I have set a custom nickname in the Accounts KCM for my ICQ account's identity, which is saved correctly. However, as soon as I reconnect to ICQ, the nickname is reset to the ICQ UIN.
This does not happen with Jabber (GTalk or other).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the Account Manager
2. On an ICQ account
3. Click Edit Identity
4. Change the nickname and confirm
5. Go offline
6. Go Online
7. Check the nickname
Actual Results:
Nickname is equal to UIN

Expected Results:
Custom nickname stays

Actually from what I can see, the edit identity dialog does not show the correct identity and does not change it on the server, it is only modified locally
I'm confirming this, but I suspect it is a bug upstream

If someone could confirm with Empathy that would be ideal.

Just tested here. It seemed to work.
