The ability to update accounts (as is done from the menu bar) from the command line (IE via cron, etc.) would be very useful. Considering that passwords can be stored within kmymoney, this should present no additional security issues that what exists presently. The ability to keep a kmymoney session current without user intervention would be very helpful, especially for those of use who use it primarily as a year end accounting tool, and at times do not update manually often enough to avoid gaps in data from our bank. Whether this would be best done as a command line option ("kmymoney --update-accounts") or a separate program ("kmymoney-update --all") remains to be seen, but either implementation would be effective.
