Thanks for the bug report. Might be realated to bug 314019. Is the crash reproducible for you?

It crashed once more before a reboot but seems to be stable since then

Thanks. Well, it seems that the pointer to the KItemListView became dangling, so we get a crash when its parent tries to delete it. I have no idea how that happens though, and I'm afraid that it's hard to find out if the crash cannot be reproduced reliably.

If anyone can reproduce this crash at least sometimes, it would probably help a lot if we could get a Valgrind log, see

Well, I just installed valgrind; next time I will report here.  
By the way, when someone download a beta test version, the user should be invited to join a Beta Test group, where information about the need of tools like valgrind should be listed.  So far I discovered, by hit an miss, three other tools I should have installed to report problems with YaST, KDE, and so on.
