Thanks for the bug report. Might be realated to bug 314019. Is the crash reproducible for you? > Is the crash reproducible for you?
It crashed once more before a reboot but seems to be stable since then
Thanks. Well, it seems that the pointer to the KItemListView became dangling, so we get a crash when its parent tries to delete it. I have no idea how that happens though, and I'm afraid that it's hard to find out if the crash cannot be reproduced reliably. *** Bug 325678 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** If anyone can reproduce this crash at least sometimes, it would probably help a lot if we could get a Valgrind log, see http://community.kde.org/Dolphin/FAQ/Crashes Thanks for your help. Well, I just installed valgrind; next time I will report here. By the way, when someone download a beta test version, the user should be invited to join a Beta Test group, where information about the need of tools like valgrind should be listed. So far I discovered, by hit an miss, three other tools I should have installed to report problems with YaST, KDE, and so on. Closing because of the very old Dolphin version. |
