Description Brian 2013-03-30 05:21:55 UTC
I'm using the "Clock" screensaver.
When I tap a key or move the mouse, a new screen now appears.
The new Unlock Screensaver box does not automatically take focus.
If I start typing, nothing happens.
I basically have to move the mouse -> hit enter -> password invalid -> then I can type my password.
Otherwise, I'd have to click the password text field with the mouse to give it focus.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Lock screen
2. Move mouse
3. Type password
Actual Results:
Password box shows no input (dots).
Have to hit "Enter" first, receive "login failed", then password box has focus.
Type password, "Enter", and the screen is unlocked.

Expected Results:
Move mouse, or simply start typing, and typed characters should be accepted by the unlock screensaver password dialog box.

This is new behavior, as of 4.10.x.
I've also had to change desktop themes (due to another issue with the "Verne" theme not working - taskbar appearance changed).
Theme change had no effect on this issue, even though the background of the unlock screen changed.

I have the same problem since the Simple locker has been introduced.
Also affects KDE SC 4.11 even if using only the Simple locker (without widget/screensaver).
Note: I have a dual-screen setup.
