Konsole's "save settings" does not save _all_ settings. Namely font size is not saved between invocations.

The status of this ticket is closed but the the problem still exists in version  3.4.0 Lebel "b"

Comment #2.  You are using a very old and outdated KDE.  The 3.4.x are no longer being developed.  Try a 3.5.x release please.
