Description michael.kaergel 2013-03-25 14:33:21 UTC
When I try to use the tikz backend, I will neither get an preview, nor an output.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) use tikz-backend
Actual Results:
In the log, there is the following output:

[pdflatex]
LaTeX Warning: You have requested, on input line 201, version
               but only version
               `2013/1/13 v1.7 String manipulations (C Tellechea)'

But no graphic is generated.

Expected Results:
Generate graphic.

I am using Fedora 17, with vanilla texlive 2012 and compiled cirkuit 0.4.3.

A dirty workaround I currently use is, to remove the QRegExp("LaTeX Warning:") from L69 of logparser.cpp.

I fell over this too recently -- I used cirkuit with earlier versions and it worked fine.
I must have updated it to the current version and when I tried to use it lately none
of my previous working files, which I had written using previous versions of cirkuit,
was working anymore.

Would be nice if there could be a fix on either the latex or the cirkuit side ...

Ignore Latex Warnings

This is a possible fix, which just ignore all Latex Warnings.

It is hard to say if that problem is really gone, but I tested some of my older files, (texlive version has changed as well in the mean time) but they compile fine in cirkuit, and also a warning appears in the compile log which does not produce a problem.

I am not sure if the warning was the same category in the original report:
Package pgf Warning: Snakes have been superseded by decorations. Please use the
decoration libraries instead of the snakes library on input line 14.

I use currently cirkuit 0.4.3 which is installed from a package from openSUSE 13.2, even if the package is not in the repos of my current openSuse 15.0 anymore...
