Description Mircea Kitsune 2013-03-11 18:39:20 UTC
I couldn't find a section for KWrite in the bug tracker, so I'm posting this under General. It's a very small inconvenience that several users might have noticed, but I thought it would be worth reporting.

If you open KWrite, write something in, delete everything you wrote and attempt to close KWrite, you will be prompted to save. There's no point in prompting the user to save an empty document unless he's editing a file that's already saved.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open KWrite.
2. Type some text in.
3. Delete everything you just typed.
4. Press the X button to close the KWrite window.
Actual Results:
You're prompted to save your work, although it's now an empty session.

Expected Results:
Unless KWrite is editing a saved file, you shouldn't be prompted to save when no characters are typed in.

Noticed in KDE 4.9.5 openSUSE 12.2 64bit.
