I prefer to use the file extensions .mkii and .mkiv to differentiate between the two kinds. This information could be used to determine whether to call "texexec" or "context". Please note that I did not come up with these conventions. I am merely following the conventions used in the project: % cd /opt/context-minimals % find . -iname "*.tex"|wc -l 453 % find . -iname "*.mkii"|wc -l 583 % find . -iname "*.mkiv"|wc -l 503 % find . -iname "*.ctx"|wc -l 4 The ".ctx", that the kate highlighter currently selects for, is wrong. The ".ctx" files within the ConTeXt distro are XML files. On a related note, could you please make the following changes too? 1. Add these file types to the File->Open dialog 2. In the "Files and Projects" sidebar, show .mkiv and .mkii files directly under the project, instead of under "other". Perhaps, after that, the structure outline (sidebar) will fix itself too. The structure outline works correctly when I use the ".tex" extension and select ConTeXt highlighter manually. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. I haven't used ConTeXt in a long time, and had not installed ConTeXt on my current machine. I'm having some trouble installing ConTeXt. I'll fix that and then update the status here. No problem, thanks for offering to help. Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software.
