Could be bug #274931 Does the window remain when you suspend compositing? (Shift+Alt+F12) In case, can you please open konsole and run "xprop > splash.props" then click the splash screen (cursor turned into a cross) and attach the output? while I think it's the same as bug #274931 I'm also wondering whether that's a bug at all. I mean getting the information that Kile is being started right now is not a bad idea. That's why we have splash screens in the first place. IIRC splash screens are also on all desktops. Martin, this is a good point. Still, with activities it is a little bit different, I think. They do not extend your working area the way multiple desktops do. Instead, they are a complete different working area. Maybe it would be possible to supplement the splashscreen with the information '..on activity xy'. I will test if it is the same without compositing the next time I reboot.
